Bay Area Artist Lutie Loo

Born in Morgan Hill, California, Eleuteria Alatorre (better known as “Lutie Loo) is a Bay Area artist whose designs can be characterized by classic cartoons with a twist of creepiness. Her biggest inspirations include Brandi Milne, Alex Pardee, Craola, and Nychos.

She writes to us, “My artwork is almost always directly reflective of my mood. I am a very passionate but equally anxious person and art has always helped me channel my anxiety in a constructive way. I want people to look at my artwork and think ‘I’ve felt that; or feel inspired to share their own weaknesses with the world.”

In the short-term, Lutie hopes to continue networking with local artists throughout the Bay Area. In the long-term, she hopes to develop a brand of her own where her artwork is the main feature on products. Products she hopes to release range from T-shirts and beanies, to skateboards. Through these efforts, her goals are to both raise awareness and promote funds for various social issues, including drug and alcohol addiction.

While she isn’t the heaviest cannabis smoker, Lutie notes that the cannabis culture has played a major role in her art. More particularly, the collective ideology and spiritually aesthetic properties that come with the cannabis community.
